Using this modern, sophisticated equipment, approximately 50 cubic metres of pre-mixed concrete were accurately poured to provide secure foundations for the building.
This concrete “raft” will ensure stability on a particularly difficult, sandy site.
Whilst building what appears to be a “traditional” manor house, Palmers have taken advantage of many modern materials and processes to complete this project as efficiently as possible.
Many of the decorative elements are of Cast Stone, a masonry product that provides ornamental or functional features to a building. It is made from fine and coarse aggregates, Portland cement, colour pigments, chemical admixtures and water. Cast Stone can be used for the simplest windowsills to the most complicated architectural elements. It has the same physical properties as most building stone. The correct use of Cast Stone can result in an architectural project of enduring beauty to be enjoyed for decades.
